Tony joined Leigh Spinners in 1982, but his links to the company go back even further, with his father having worked at the business between 1971 and 2001.

When Tony first started, he worked in Cone Stripping but also had the job of Spare Man – if any area in the factory needed covering, he could do it. This working mentality continued over the years with Tony becoming Charge Hand in several departments through the 1980s and 1990s up to the Millennium, when he became Manager and Health & Safety Officer.

In 2009, Tony became Operations Manager and was promoted to his current role of Operations Director in 2016.

Fun fact – Tony is a keen carpenter and frequently has projects on the go – recently taking 2 weeks annual leave to build and install his own kitchen! He is also a keen scuba diver and qualified scuba instructor. His favourite dives to date are Chuuk Lagoon and Scapa Flow. He has been married for over 30 years and has a daughter and two grandchildren.
